The Hydronix 20″ Big Blue Sediment Filter is the economical equivalent of the Liquatec SDF-45-2050 Sediment Filter. Also known as part number SDC-45-2050, this water filter uses 4 separate layers of micron filtration, as the outside-in flow allows the outer layer to trap larger sized particles, resulting in a much lower pressure drop compared to conventional filters. The graded density of the Hydronix Sediment Filter provides higher dirt holding capacity than standard spun polypropylene and string wound cartridges. This 50 micron filter reduces waterborne contaminants like silt, rust, sand and sediment.

In addition to replacing the Liquatec SDF-45-2050, the Hydronix 20″ filter also replaces Pentek 155358-43 and Watts FPMB-BB50-20. Created with a coreless design, the Hydronix SDC-45-2050 is an inexpensive solution to pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters (also known as GAC filters). The true multi-stage depth filtration provides a higher particulate filtering capacity compared to standard spun polypropylene and string wound water filters. This filter is ideal for residential, food service, industrial and commercial applications. Made of 100% polypropylene the Hydronix 50 micron filter is adhesive free, binder free and surfactant free.

Do not use water that is of unknown quality or microbiologically unsafe without adequate disinfection, prior to or after the system.
