Description
The Hydronix 20″ Big Blue Sediment Filter is the same as the Liquatec SDF-45-2005 Sediment Filter. This water filter is resistant to chemicals and reduces waterborne contaminants like rust, sediment, silt and sand. Made of 100% polypropylene the graded density provides a higher dirt holding capacity than standard spun polypropylene and string wound cartridges. This 5 micron filter, also known as part number SDC-45-2005 is ideal for food service, residential, industrial and commercial applications. Constructed with a coreless design, this Big Blue Sediment Filter is surfactant free, binder free and adhesive free.
In addition to replacing the Liquatec SDF-45-2005, this Hydronix 20″ Water Filter also replaces the Watts FPMB-BB5-20 filter. This sediment filter uses 4 separate layers of micron filtration, as the outside-in flow allows the outer layer to trap larger sized particles. The true multi-stage depth filtration of this filter cartridge is an inexpensive solution to pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters (also known as GAC filters). Do not use this filter with water that is of unknown quality or microbiologically unsafe without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
