Description
The Hydronix 10″ Big Blue Sediment Filter is an economical equivalent of the Liquatec SDF-45-1001 Big Blue Filter. This Hydronix 1 Micron filter is also known as part number SDC-45-1001. Made of 100% pure polypropylene, this filter is resistant to chemicals and reduces waterborne contaminants like sand, silt, rust and sediment. The Hydronix Big Blue Sediment Filter provides a higher particulate filtering capacity compared to standard spun polypropylene and string wound water filter cartridges.
By utilizing the 4 separate layers of micron filtration, the outside-in flow allows the outer layer to trap larger sized particles, which results in a much lower pressure drop compared to conventional filters. The coreless design of this Hydronix 4 1/2×10 Sediment Filter is a cost-effective solution to pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters (also known as GAC filters). This Big Blue Sediment Filter is ideal for residential, industrial, commercial and food service applications.
